Required Documents for Mortgage Loans

Navigating the mortgage process can feel overwhelming, but having the right documents ready can make all the difference—here’s all the documents you need to get started.


  • - Driver’s License(s)
  • - Social Security number(s)
  • - Current and previous residence history for the past two years
  • - Name and address of your employment for the past two years
  • - Paystubs from the last 30 days
  • - W-2 and/or 1099s for the past two years
  • - Tax returns for the previous two years, including all schedules, signed and dated by you
  • - All bank account statements from the last two months, including all pages, even if blank
  • - Gift letter (if using gift funds)
  • - Complete details for any other real estate owned
