Validation Tips

February 05, 2025 by First Federal Bank

At First Federal Bank, your security is our top priority. As fraud and scams continue to evolve, it's essential to stay informed and cautious when handling any communications, whether online or via other channels. Here are a few validation tips to help safeguard your personal and financial information:

1. Scammers may impersonate Bank’s fraud staff in order to gain access to personal information and your bank accounts.

2. First Federal has a fraud department that reaches out to customers about SPECIFIC transactions that are suspected to be fraudulent.

3. The Bank’s fraud staff may ask you a verification question in order to ensure that staff are speaking to the correct person, however, they will never ask for your online banking credentials or password.

4. If you are not sure if a call is from a First Federal Bank representative or suspect the validity of the call, ask for the representative’s name and disconnect the phone call.  Call our Customer Care at 1-877-499-0572 and dial 0 to speak to a Customer Care specialist.
