Happy loving couple traveling by airplane and smilingWith Spring Break in the rear view mirror, it’s time to set your sights on summer vacation, and travel! How can you find the best deals? Travel experts have some tips to help you save this summer:

Some excited travelers may already be planning ahead for that summer vacation. Finding a good deal in this economy is tough but experts say there are ways to make it easier.

From last-minute scrambling, airline disruptions and costs that can spiral out of control. Instead of looking forward to their time together, families end up feeling overwhelmed before they even pack a bag.

Sarah Greaves-Gabbadon, a travel expert and founder of JetSetSarah says, "I always say to people: If you look in particular, if you want to spend, if you're looking to travel internationally and you want to save money. Look at destinations where the dollar is really strong."

Are prices really cheaper certain days of the week? Sarah says no. It is all about demand.

"Sign up for one of those flight trackers that you can use online, so you can spot the trend and you can get alerts when the place that when flights to the places where you want to go down when they go up," said Greaves-Gabbadon.

AI has become big in the travel industry and you may already be using it without knowing. Some examples include: Flight forecasting to predict potential delays. Planning trips with minimal effort and creating itineraries. Improved travel safety monitoring real-time data so you can avoid suspicious activity or dangerous areas. AI-powered language translation apps and real-time translations.

But if you are driving instead of flying, consider renting a car.

"As a way to save money, I always say to people: instead of putting wear and tear on your own car, why not rent a car? So you rent a car and put the wear and tear on that," said Greaves-Gabbadon.

JetSetSarah also says sign up for travel discount programs like AARP. You don't have to be 50-years-old to take advantage.
