First Federal Bank Moves to Larger Jacksonville Office

Jacksonville, FL - First Federal Bank Residential Lending Division has moved to a bigger, newly remodeled office to accommodate their growth. Located near St. John’s Town Center, First Federal Bank purchased the 28,644 square foot building to house several departments of the Residential Lending Division, as well as warehouse commercial lending and a title company. About 4,700 square feet are leased to other tenants who will be staying.

The new space will accommodate 125 employees from residential lending and operations, warehouse lending, wholesale and correspondent lending, manufactured housing lending, and strategic partnerships, while still allowing for future growth. At this time, about half of the employees will work from the new office to maintain social distancing. The remodeled office will allow departments to be grouped together to encourage collaboration. It also includes a large gathering space that will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology for training sessions and meetings.

“Our new office space provides us so many more opportunities to enlarge our operations and generate new jobs for Jacksonville,” says Director of Residential Lending, Paul Ottendorf. “We wanted to provide a bigger, more comfortable place for our employees, and to make way for expansion as we continue to grow. Purchasing the building on Touchton Road shows we’re committed to serving the First Coast for a long time. We were leasing our former space on Phillips Highway and it served us well, however we’ve outgrown it.”

First Federal was located at 9700 Phillips Highway for nine years. Initially, there were 10 employees with plans for growth.
